His journey, marked by perseverance and resilience, serves as a beacon of hope for countless aspiring legal professionals.
Abhishek Misra’s journey to becoming a judge in Bihar is a testament to perseverance, hard work, and determination. Born and raised in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, he grew up in a middle-class family, facing financial constraints that shaped his outlook on life.
From an early age, he was drawn to the judiciary, inspired by the authority, discipline, and integrity of judges. This passion became his guiding force, pushing him to pursue a career in law despite numerous challenges.
After completing his schooling at St. Aloysius College in Pilibhit, Abhishek opted for commerce, combining his interest in analytical thinking and systemic understanding.
He later pursued an LLB degree in 2018 from MJPRU, Bareilly, which further deepened his knowledge of legal principles. In 2022, he added another feather to his cap by obtaining a Cyber Law Diploma from Dr. Shakuntla Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow, showcasing his commitment to staying updated with the evolving dimensions of law.

While his academic journey was commendable, it was not without hurdles. Coming from a middle-class background, financial struggles were a constant reality. Yet, he never let these obstacles deter him. He worked as a Political Science teacher under the Abhudaya Yojna in Bareilly since 2022, juggling his teaching responsibilities with his rigorous preparation for judicial services.
Alongside this, he also qualified for several competitive exams, including UPSSSC Junior Assistant, Lekhpal, and Assistant Teacher for junior classes, proving his capability and resilience.
Abhishek’s quest to become a judge was marked by multiple attempts and setbacks. In Uttar Pradesh, he appeared twice for the Provincial Civil Services-Judicial (PCS-J) examination. Although he reached the interview stage in his second attempt, he narrowly missed qualifying. Undeterred by these setbacks, he set his sights on Bihar’s judiciary exams.
His dedication bore fruit when he secured Rank 60 in his first attempt, a remarkable achievement that highlighted his tenacity and unyielding spirit.
Through his journey, Abhishek demonstrated that success is not defined by a smooth path but by the courage to face challenges head-on. His story is an inspiration for aspiring individuals from similar backgrounds, proving that with hard work, resilience, and an unwavering focus on one’s goals, even the most ambitious dreams can be realized.
